REKAYASA TEKNOLOGI TRANSPLANTASI LAMUN (Enhalus acoroides) DI KAWASAN PADANG LAMUN PERAIRAN PRAWEAN BANDENGAN JEPARA

Abstrak

Lamun merupakan sumber makanan bagi beberapa jenis herbivora seperti penyu, dugong dan beberapa jenis invertebrata. Fungsi lamun tidak banyak dipahami, banyak padang lamun yang rusak oleh berbagai aktivitas manusia. Lamun berkurang secara luas terjadi di belahan dunia sebagai akibat dari dampak langsung kegiatan manusia termasuk kerusakan secara mekanis (pengerukan dan jangkar), eutrofikasi, budidaya perikanan, pengendapan, pengaruh pembangunan konstruksi pesisir, dan perubahan jaring makanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan transplantasi lamun dari laju pertumbuhan dan tingkat keberlangsungan hidup (SR) dengan dengan penerapan metode Frame tabung bambu, Plugs, Fastening waring di perairan Prawean Bandengan Jepara agar lamun dapat dikembangkan dengan teknologi ramah lingkungan yaitu menggunakan bambu dan keberadaanya masih tetap lestari Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi lapangan selama 6 Minggu pada tanggal 17 September – 1 November 2012 di Perairan Prawean Bandengan Jepara. Metode yang digunakan untuk analisis hasil penelitian adalah metode eksperimental yang dilakukan di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil One-way ANOVA, diketahui bahwa laju pertumbuhan transplantasi lamun dari ketiga metode tersebut tidak berbeda nyata. Tingkat keberhasilan unit transplantasi lamun untuk metode Frame Tabung Bambu sebesar 95%, metode Plugs sebesar 100% dan metode Fastening Waring sebesar 100%. Laju pertumbuhan unit transplantasi lamun di Perairan Prawean Bandengan Jepara dengan metode Frame Tabung Bambu memliki rata-rata sebesar (0,70 cm/hari ± 0.06), sedangkan untuk metode Plugs sebesar (0,78 cm/hari ± 0.09) dan metode Fastening Waring sebesar (0,71 cm/hari ± 0.05).

Abstract

Seagrass is a source of food for certain kinds of herbivorous such as turtles, dugong and several species of invertebrate. The function of seagrass not yet widely understood, many seagrass beds damaged by human activities. Seagrass depopulate widely in parts of the world as a direct impact of human activities, including mechanical damage (dredging and anchor), eutrophication, the cultivation of fisheries, deposition, the influence from the development of coast construction, and changes of the food chains. The purpose of this research was know success rate of seagrass transplantation from the growth rate and survival rate (SR) with the application of some methods such as Frame Tabung Bambu, Plugs, and Fastening waring in Prawean Bandengan Jepara waters so that seagrass can be developed with eco-friendly technologies and it presence remains sustainable.The research had been done with field observation in Bandengan Jepara Prawean waters, during 6 weeks on September 17th – 1st November 2012. The methods that had been used for the analysis of the results was experiment method that used Microsoft Excel 2010, one-way ANOVA and SPSS 16 for the calculation process.Based on the results of one-way ANOVA which is the growth rate of the seagrass transplantation of three methods are not significant different. The survival rate of seagrass transplantation unit for Frame Tabung Bambu method by 95%, 100% Plugs method and the method of Fastening Waring by 100%. The growth rate of the seagrass transplantion unit in Prawean Bandengan Jepara waters with a Frame Tabung  Bambu method has an average of (0.70 ± cm/day 0.06), whereas for the method of Plugs (0.09 ± 0.78 cm/day) and the method of Fastening Waring (0,71 ± cm/day 0.05).
